Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill has praised his players following a victory away at Leyton Orient which takes the club out of the League One relegation zone.
The Robins raced into an early two-goal lead courtesy of goals from Sam Baldock and Tyrone Barnett, before adding a third in the second half after Orient had pulled one back.
"I'm really pleased," Cotterill told reporters following the Matchroom Stadium clash. "The character and team spirit was on show tonight.
"We had to minimise the threat of their front four and allow our front six to trouble them. This result will make every Bristol City fan smile tonight. The league table looks better right now and we need to keep that going."
City are back in league action on Saturday when they face Tranmere Rovers at Ashton Gate.
