Derek McInnes says that Bristol City won't get carried away after moving out of the relegation zone in the Championship.

Bristol City manager Derek McInnes has paid tribute to his side's commitment after their late 3-2 win at Sheffield Wednesday.

With the Owls leading in the 86th minute, Sam Baldock equalised with his second penalty of the game before Albert Adomah scored the winner with a 25-yard free kick.

The win moves the Robins out of the bottom three, but McInnes insists that his side won't get carried away by the result.

"Only time will tell how important that win is but we're all delighted we've been able to win and send fans home happy," said McInnes. "It was a performance with real commitment. We conceded two poor goals but the one thing today, we coped with '80s style football.

"We stood up to them. In the main we dealt with everything. Both penalties were nailed on for us and what a finish from Albert Adomah for the winner. It was a real team display.

"I couldn't believe we were behind at 2-1 after being so dominant in possession. I was scratching my head. But it was sleeves up and we went straight back at them. A sheer will not to accept defeat. We have to keep that with us. We won't get carried away. We'll enjoy this, then heads back on for Monday."

The win moves the Robins up to 21st in the table.
