Bristol City have reportedly missed out on the chance to sign Norwich City defender Elliott Ward.
It had been suggested that Robins boss Derek McInnes had targeted the 27-year-old as his main summer signing, but personal terms could not be agreed.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the Championship club will return in January for the former Coventry City defender.
Ward joined Norwich in 2010.
