Burnley and Bristol City go into the half-time break all square as neither side could find a way through the opposition's defence in the first 45 minutes.
Both sides started fairly brightly, creating a number of good attacking platforms without capitalising on them.
The first real chance of the match came for the visitors after 15 minutes when Martyn Woolford's cross was met by Brett Pitman, but Brian Jensen was equal to the effort.
Ross Wallace responded for the hosts, firing his shot from inside the box just past the post.
Chris Wood then tested Jensen less than a minute later, forcing the Burnley keeper to parry the ball behind for a corner.
Charlie Austin then squandered a good chance for the hosts, dragging his shot wide of the right post.
As things stand, neither side would move in the Championship table, with Burnley remaining 12th while City stay 19th.
