Burnley striker Jason Gilchrist has been ruled out of action for several months with a broken ankle.
The 20-year-old suffered the injury during his side's friendly win over Rangers at Ibrox Stadium on Tuesday.
Gilchrist is due to undergo surgery before starting the recovery process.
"It's a real shame for Jason, but he is in good hands and he'll have an operation in the next few days and be looked after well by our physio team," manager Sean Dyche told the club's official website.
Gilchrist spent part of last season on loan at Accrington Stanley.
