Burnley and Peterborough share the spoils in an even game at Turf Moor.
Charlie Austin had the first effort of the afternoon, but he dragged his shot wide of the target. Tommy Rowe then saw his attempt saved by Lee Grant at the other end in a fairly even start to the match.
Joe Lewis made his first save on 12 minutes to deny Austin, who was instrumental in everything Burnley did going forward. However, moments later Posh were in front as Paul Taylor raced clear and fired high into the net past Grant.
David Ball missed a chance to make it 2-0, but his left-foot shot hit the inside of the post before Grant pounced on the loose ball. Ross Wallace produced a fine save from Peterborough's Lewis, who was in action again on 37 minutes to keep out Austin for the second time - parrying his header away from goal.
Peterborough went into the second half with a 1-0 lead, with Burnley still well in the game.
The second half began with Lewis making a comfortable stop to deny Kieran Trippier on 47 minutes. The Posh shot-stopper was being kept busy and was alert to push a deflected Jay Rodriguez shot around the post on 56 minutes as the hosts pressed for the leveller.
In the 87th minute, Rodriguez finally got the equaliser to earn Burnley a point.
