Burnley have completed the signing of right-back Matthew Lowton from Aston Villa.
The 26-year-old has penned a three-year contract with the Clarets and becomes their first signing of the summer.
Lowton joined Villa from Sheffield United in July 2012 and was a regular in his first season at the club under previous manager Paul Lambert, but he struggled for playing time following the arrival of Tim Sherwood.
"Even back to his days at Sheffield United, I always thought Matt was a very good player and one who I think is motivated to go again," Burnley manager Sean Dyche told the club's official website.
"He has been at a big club in Aston Villa and wants to get back to the Premier League. The challenge for him now is to play regular first team football and help Burnley Football Club to get back there and we look forward to welcoming him into the group."
Lowton made 63 appearances for Villa during his two years at the club.
