Swansea City and Burnley are reportedly in continued negotiations regarding the potential transfer of Alfie Mawson.
The Welsh club's relegation to the Premier League has resulted in increased interest in Mawson, who is keen to remain in the top flight in order to boost his international recognition with England.
Mawson will miss the start of the season after undergoing knee surgery earlier in the summer, but according to Wales Online, that has not prevented discussions between the Swans and the Clarets.
Burnley have been left frustrated in their efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign, but Sean Dyche remains prepared to break the club's transfer record in order to make additions.
Swansea are said to be keen to secure over £20m for Mawson due to the player's former club Barnsley being due a percentage of any transfer fee.
Mawson still has two years remaining on his contract at the Liberty Stadium, but Swansea are unlikely to stand in the way of any departure providing that their valuation is met before August 9.
