Serie A club Cagliari have decided to leave the Is Arenas less than a year after moving there.
The Italian club have informed the local council in Quartu Sant'Elena via a letter of their wish to cancel the three-year agreement to use the venue for their home matches.
Cagliari have been troubled with stadium issues throughout the campaign with a number of matches being played behind closed door and their home game against Juventus being moved to Parma over safety concerns.
It is not yet clear whether Cagliari would want to play the remainder of the Serie A games this season at the Is Arenas.
