Cardiff City defender Anthony Gerrard has apologised to Bluebirds supporters for missing the penalty that crowned Liverpool Carling Cup winners.
The 26-year-old, who is cousin to Reds' skipper Steven Gerrard, has admitted that he won't be able to easily forget the miss that resulted in Liverpool clinching the victory 3-2 on penalties.
Gerrard wrote on Twitter: "Sorry to everyone! I can't close my eyes without seeing that penalty! It's going to haunt me for the rest of my days! Head is mashed!"
Cardiff now resume their focus on the fight for promotion to the Premier League.
