Cardiff City's Craig Bellamy has accepted a Football Association charge for violent conduct.
The 34-year-old striker will now serve a three-match suspension starting tonight against Aston Villa.
Bellamy was charged on Monday after appearing to punch Jonathan de Guzman during Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Swansea City in the Premier League.
"Both Craig & the club are disappointed that the three man panel of former referees reached their decision based on a video review this week," read an official Cardiff statement.
"Following internal discussions at the club, Craig has chosen to accept the charge and the three match ban without appeal."
Bellamy has scored one goal in 14 appearances for Cardiff so far this season.
