Cardiff City have confirmed that their Championship match against Fulham will go ahead this afternoon after strong winds damaged their stadium earlier.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service had to be called to the Cardiff City Stadium this lunchtime after the weather damaged the rook on the Canton Stand and Ninian Stand, leading to doubts as to whether the fixture would be played today.
However, the club have now confirmed that safety officials have cleared the match to go ahead after the fire service helped secure the roofing.
The home side will return to their blue kit for the first time today after playing in red for the last three years.
