Cardiff City's head of performance Richard Collinge has suggested that Aron Gunnarsson will miss the beginning of the Premier League season with a shoulder injury.
The 24-year-old suffered the injury while representing Iceland in their defeat to Slovenia on Friday, and it was later discovered that he has suffered a dislocated shoulder.
"Aron is currently undergoing a series of tests and investigations to determine the extent of his shoulder injury, from which we will be able to implement a management and recovery schedule," Collinge told the club's official website.
"Any injury is frustrating for a player, but we will give Aron the best possible support to enable a swift return to action."
Gunnarsson could be out of action for three months.
