Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has praised his team's professionalism following Sunday's 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.
The Bluebirds maintained their one-point lead at the top of the table thanks to Craig Conway's late goal at the Cardiff City Stadium.
"It was always going to be a tough game, there is an expectation on top teams to beat teams down at the bottom and you need to apply yourself properly," said Mackay. "We went out and applied ourselves in exactly the same way as we have been doing to get the win."
Cardiff continue their league campaign on Friday when they travel to Blackburn Rovers.
