Malky Mackay has not been dismissed as manager of Cardiff City following lengthy talks with the club's board today.
Mackay was thought to be incensed by the club's decision to replace head of recruitment Iain Moody with a 23-year-old friend of owner Vincent Tan's son, who has no known football experience at the top level.
Mackay's agent confirmed earlier today that the 41-year-old would not resign over the incident, although it is understood that "three of four" members of the board are unsure about the Scot.
However, today's meeting between Mackay and the board was largely positive and productive, according to reports, resulting in him staying at the club.
Cardiff have made a solid start to their first season in the Premier League, picking up eight points from their opening seven games to sit 14th in the table.
