Cardiff City winger Peter Whittingham believes that he and his teammates face a "massive task" to keep the Bluebirds in the Premier League next season.
The 28-year-old had been linked with several top-flight clubs in the last campaign before he committed his future to Malky Mackay's side, and has now admitted that he is delighted to be plying his trade in England's top division again.
Whittingham told the club's official website: "When people were coming in for me in years gone by it was a case of me not wanting to move because I was determined to help Cardiff City get into the Premier League. I've always been happy at this Football Club.
"We've done that - we dominated the Championship and deserve to be among the country's elite. Now, it's about keeping Cardiff City in the Premier League.
"It's going to be a massive task, we're under no illusions about that, but it's one that we'll relish and we're really looking forward to."
Whittingham scored eight goals in 40 appearances for the Bluebirds last season.
