AFC Wimbledon have sent on-loan keeper Ben Wilson back to Cardiff City after he became embroiled in a spat with a fan on Twitter.
The 23-year-old joined the League Two side on an emergency loan in October following an injury to No.1 James Shea, making eight appearances, but was criticised by some Dons supporters for his performance in the 2-1 defeat to Stevenage at Kingsmeadow on Saturday.
One tweeted him to say: "I'm glad you think it's funny, the teams already got enough c**** who don't care."
Wilson replied to the message by saying: "Got enough of them as supporters like you also. You're still paying to watch every week and helping towards my wage, I'm laughing and you're losing out."
In a statement, Wimbledon confirmed that Wilson had returned to Wales, with manager Neal Ardley adding: "I'd like to thank Ben for his commitment while he was here and wish him all the best in his future career."
Wimbledon currently sit 13th in League Two, five points off the top four.
