Former England head coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has been approached about the possibility of succeeding Malky Mackay at Cardiff City, according to a report.
The Scot is on the verge of losing his job due to a dispute with Bluebirds owner Vincent Tan, who is said to have flown into the country specifically to sack him.
A statement from the Malaysian businessman earlier in the week revealed his anger at comments that Mackay made to the media about signing more players in January.
Tan's treatment of the former Watford boss provoked an angry response from the fans in the Welsh capital, but reports suggest that he is already searching for a new man.
According to the Daily Mail, the club has already been in touch with Eriksson, who is currently in charge of Chinese team Guangzhou R&F.
