Cardiff City have reportedly cancelled the contract of striker Nicky Maynard.
The 28-year-old has struggled to make an impact with the Bluebirds after a cruciate knee ligament injury curtailed his debut season with them back in 2012.
Maynard was loaned out to fellow Championship side Wigan Athletic last season, where he scored four times in 16 games.
Cardiff have agreed a fee for Chesterfield striker Eoin Doyle, who is currently League One's top scorer.
According to the Football League World, Cardiff are now looking to offload Maynard and have reached an agreement for the termination of his contract.
Maynard has netted just twice in 21 appearances for Cardiff since joining them from West Ham United.
