Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter has joined newly-promoted Cardiff City on a season-long loan.
The 28-year-old had been linked with Newcastle United and Middlesbrough in recent weeks, but earlier today it emerged that he had travelled to the Welsh capital to undergo a medical with Neil Warnock's side.
The Irishman has been with the south coast side for eight years, during which he has racked up 255 appearances across the top three divisions of English football.
Under the terms of the agreement, Arter will be ineligible to face his parent club in the Bluebirds' season opener at Dean Court this Saturday.
Arter represents Cardiff's sixth signing of the summer and the second of deadline day following the arrival of midfielder Victor Camarasa from Real Betis.
