Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has admitted that he is being forced to remain patient in his quest to sign players.
Mackay is determined to make additions to his squad but is prepared to wait until the end of the transfer window to secure the deals he wants.
He told Wales Online: "We are still looking at new signings. We are delighted to have the ones we have and now we have various irons in the fire in terms of the next month.
"I would like to get them in as quickly as possible, but I'm realistic to know that these things often go to August 31 and the deadline."
Mackay has already completed the signings of Jordan Mutch, Joe Lewis and Etien Velikonja as the Bluebirds aim to improve on last season's playoff exit and earn promotion to the Premier League.
