Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay has said that he wants to bring in three new players during the January transfer window.
The Scot reinforced his squad for Premier League football with eight new additions in the summer and is hoping to further strengthen in the winter to stave off the threat of relegation.
"It would be great if we can bring in three quality additions," The Mirror quotes Mackay as saying. "I would look to strengthen all three departments with a defender, a midfielder and an attacking player.
"I will talk to my chairman who will then discuss it with his board of directors and our owner.
"It's a different type of window though and you have to be careful. There's not quite the array of talent out there in January and people are leaving clubs for different reasons."
The Bluebirds are 15th in the table.
