Cardiff City have reportedly made Derby County forward Johnny Russell their main transfer target of the summer.
The 25-year-old has played a key role in Derby's pre-season preparations, scoring in friendlies against Grimsby Town and Northampton Town.
It has been reported that Cardiff have already made a bid for the former Dundee United man, which the Rams rejected.
Cardiff boss Russell Slade is said to have been pursuing the Scotland international for some time and is keen to secure his signature.
According to Wales Online, Russell remains Cardiff's number one target and they plan to make another offer to their Championship counterparts.
Russell has scored 17 goals in 88 appearances for Derby since joining them in 2013.
