Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Craig Bellamy is good enough to continue playing beyond the end of the season.
Bellamy is out of contract at the end of the season and has not yet confirmed that he will retire, but Solskjaer has urged the Welshman to prove that he can keep playing at the top level.
"Craig's been training with us for a week and he's looking really sharp," Sky Sports News quotes Solskjaer as saying. "He'll be involved and in the squad.
"We've spoken together and I gave him my thoughts - play as long as you can if you feel you can justify your performances. It's my job now to get him performing and back on the pitch, hopefully I'll motivate him and inspire him to prolong his career."
Cardiff are currently 17th in the Premier League.
