Cardiff City midfielder Peter Whittingham has signed a contract extension with the Championship club.
The 29-year-old, who joined Cardiff in 2007, has committed himself to the Bluebirds until summer 2017.
"I spoke to the manager at the end of last season and he was keen to keep me here; as most people know, that was always what I wanted to do," Whittingham told the club's official website.
"I've loved my time at the club and hopefully this means that that time will continue for a few years yet."
Whittingham scored three goals in 34 appearances for Cardiff last season.
