Carlisle United have edged to a 1-0 victory over Bradford City in their League One fixture this evening, thanks to a first-half goal from Lee Miller.
Aaron McLean was the first to threaten as the Bradford man unleashed a right-footed shot from outside the box, which swerved wide of the left post.
Carlisle took the lead with their first meaningful attempt of the game, as Miller finished neatly with his right by guiding the ball from the centre of the box into the top right corner.
City almost equalised through Gary Jones, who hit a dangerous right-footed shot from outside the box, which was somehow kept out at the bottom left corner of the Carlisle goal.
Adam Reach was next to have a go for the visitors as he tested Carlisle from range, this time with a left-footed shot which was saved at the bottom left corner.
David Amoo tried to increase the hosts' lead after the break, but he sent his effort over the bar from inside the box, before Miller sent a header straight into the hands of the keeper.
Jones, who had already threatened in the first period, almost pulled Bradford level with an effort from outside the box, though Jordan Pickford did well to keep the shot out of his bottom corner.
James Hanson was next to threaten as the visitors went in search of an equaliser, but he headed straight at Pickford going into the final stages of the game, leaving Carlisle to walk away with all three points.
