Siena have reached the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia thanks to a comfortable 4-1 victory over Catania this afternoon.
The Serie B visitors started brightly but it was the Serie A side who went in front inside the first five minutes when Sebastian Leto bulleted a shot from 25 yards into the net.
Siena were level 20 minutes later when former Catania player Michele Paolucci smashed home following a poor clearance by the Catania backline.
The turnaround was complete just before the hour mark when Francesco Valiani glanced home.
Catania almost levelled soon after but Keko could only strike against the foot of the post.
The home side continued to look dangerous but it was Siena who were next to score, finding the net twice after the 90-minute mark to put the result beyond doubt.
First Nico Pulzetti found the top corner from the edge of the area before Valerio Rosseti lifted the ball into the net almost straight from the restart.
