Celta Vigo boss Eduardo Berizzo has paid tribute to his players following Sunday's 2-1 victory over Valencia.
Dani Parejo sent Valencia into a 32nd-minute lead in Vigo, before goals from Facundo Roncaglia and John Guidetti secured all three points for Celta, who have moved into eighth position in the table.
"The character we showed - in believing that we could make the comeback - was why we won the match. It was a hard-fought victory against an opponent who are well organised and very tough to break down," Berizzo told reporters.
"Valencia are a strong, physical team so one of the keys to the game was for our pace to work and find space in key areas. The risks we took were impressive and paid off, we were missing four regulars from the game yet our performance level did not drop."
Celta have won five, drawn two and lost four of their 11 league matches this season.
