Eibar have returned to winning ways in La Liga by seeing off a faltering Celta Vigo side 1-0 at Balaidos this evening.
The visitors, who had lost their previous two games coming into this one, came close to falling behind inside the opening 10 minutes when only a fine save from Xabi Irureta kept out Hugo Mallo's effort.
Michael Krohn-Dehli forced another solid stop out of Irureta with his shot from the edge of the box as the first half progressed, while Sergio Alvarez had to be equal to Manu Del Moral's attempt.
Armeros did manage to find a way through on the half-hour mark, though, and it was Del Moral who found the net with his strike into the bottom corner following a wonderful pass into his path.
Irureta had to be on guard to thwart Celta in the second half by first denying Joaquin Larrivey, but the closest the Celts came to finding a way through was in the dying seconds of the contest.
With just a minute of added time remaining, Krohn-Dehli struck the crossbar, with the ball being cleared away as Eibar held out for all three points.
It means that Celta have taken just one point from a possible nine since their memorable victory over Barcelona earlier this month, and drop to within four points of their opponents in the La Liga table.
