Celtic and Inverness Caledonian Thistle have headed into half time level at 1-1 after both sides scored in the opening four minutes at the Caledonian Stadium in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.
The visitors needed just a couple of minutes to open the scoring as Leigh Griffiths controlled a high ball out from the back before rifling it into the top corner.
The lead was short-lived though, as Inverness had the ball in the back of the net just over a minute later when Edward Ofere tapped it in from close range, despite Virgil van Dijk's attempts to clear it off the line.
Nir Bitton tried to restore Celtic's advantage when he picked out Stefan Johansen, but the midfielder's powerful finish was stopped by Ryan Esson, who had come off the bench to replace the injured Dean Brill a couple of minutes earlier.
The Scottish champions continued to look the more likely to add another before the break as Scott Brown attempted to catch Esson out with a low drive from 20 yards out, but the substitute stopper was ready.
Griffiths could have added his second of the day just before the break but the striker fired high, while Brown tried to force the ball in from a free kick a few moments later but could not clear the wall.
