A Hearts supporter cleared of a pitchside assault on Celtic manager Neil Lennon has today been jailed for eight months for a breach of the peace at the match.
John Wilson, 26, was accused of a sectarian attack on Lennon during Celtic's match against Hearts at Tynecastle in May.
Last month a jury at Edinburgh Sheriff Court found the unemployed Wilson not guilty of that charge.
However, today he was was convicted of carrying out a breach of the peace during the game, after the jury deleted an allegation that the offence was aggravated by religious prejudice.
Wilson has also been suspended from attending football matches for five years.
