Celtic put in a convincing display to beat Kilmarnock 3-1 in the SPL clash at Rugby Park this afternoon.
The Bhoys started the game as the better side and attacked Kilmarnock as Victor Wanyama almost grabbed a goal with a header after 20 minutes.
Celtic did eventually take the lead after 27 minutes when Scott Brown made it 1-0 after some great work from Adam Matthews on the right set him up.
Cillian Sheridan had the home side's first real effort on goal on 36 minutes, though the forward's effort was just wide.
Two minutes later, Jeroen Tesselaar had another attempt for Kilmarnock, but his shot was well blocked by the defence.
Kilmarnock almost equalised a minute into the second half through Paul Heffernan, but Charlie Mulgrew did well to block.
After 65 minutes, some good team play from Celtic ended with Brown playing the ball into Joe Ledley, who stabbed the ball home to make it 2-0.
Georgios Samaras then made it 3-0 with a header going in off the bar from a Matthews cross to all but confirm the win after 74 minutes.
The home side grabbed a late consolation through Sheridan to make it 3-1 on 90 minutes.
