An impressive display from Motherwell has earned them a point from their Scottish Premiership clash with Celtic this afternoon.
Dan Twardzik had to be off his line quickly early on to sweep the ball clear from the onrushing Anthony Stokes as Celtic made a bright start to the match.
Nir Bitton then came close to reaching Callum McGregor's precise through ball, but Twardzik again reacted quickly to scoop the ball up.
Motherwell eventually went in front following good work from Craig Reid, who crossed for John Sutton to volley home.
Celtic's response came through Virgil van Dijk, but his shot from 30 yards was dealt with easily by Twardzik.
Keith Lasley almost helped Motherwell double their lead when he fired across goal for Sutton, but the striker contrived to put his effort straight at Bhoys keeper Lukasz Zaluska.
Following the restart, McGregor cut inside and fired in a curling effort which brought out a diving save from the impressive Twardzik.
After some promising half-chances, Celtic were given a way back into the game when Scott Brown was brought down in the box by Fraser Kerr.
Kris Commons, introduced by manager Ronny Deila at half time, blasted the spot kick down the middle to level the scores.
Celtic ramped up the pressure as they looked for a winner, but Motherwell held out to secure a 1-1 draw.
