Goalkeeper Fraser Forster has returned to Celtic on a season-long loan deal.
The Newcastle United shotstopper spent last season at Celtic Park where he made 44 appearances and won the Scottish Cup.
The Bhoys did make a £1.5m bid for the 23-year-old in June which was rejected by the Premier League side.
"We did put a bid in, but it was knocked back, but we worked hard in the background to try to bring him in, so I'm very, very pleased," said manager Neil Lennon.
Lennon said that he hopes to have Forster registered in time for Celtic's Europa League qualifier against Swiss side Sion on Thursday night.
