Middlesbrough are reportedly ready to make an approach for Celtic striker Scott Sinclair during the summer transfer window.

Middlesbrough have reportedly identified Celtic striker Scott Sinclair as a potential summer signing.

Boro are currently attempting to reach the Championship playoffs, but it appears that targets have already been discussed ahead of the transfer window.

According to The Sun, the North-East outfit are ready to offer Sinclair an opportunity to return to English football.

The 30-year-old is nearing the end of his third campaign in Scotland, with a total of 60 goals being scored from 156 appearances in all competitions.

Celtic may be prepared to allow Sinclair to see out his contract until the end of the next campaign, but Boro could make an offer in the region of £2m.
