Find out how Charlton Athletic continued their unbeaten start to the season by seeing off Watford in a high-flying Championship clash.

Unbeaten Charlton hosted Watford in a high-flying Championship clash at The Valley this afternoon.

The Addicks had won every game at home far this season and continued that streak by snatching victory thanks to Yoni Buyens's early penalty.

Read how it all unfolded in our minute-by-minute updates below.

Afternoon folks! Our feature 3pm kickoff in the Championship this afternoon sees two high-flying sides meet at The Valley. Team news coming right up.
CHARLTON XI: Henderson; Solly, Wiggins, Ben Haim, Bikey; Gudmundsson, Cousins, Jackson, Buyens, Vetokele, Tucudean
Subs: Pope, Wilson, Gomez, Morrison, Moussa, Harriott, Church
WATFORD XI: Gomes; Hoban, Angella, Ekstrand; Anya, Abdi, Andrews, Tozser, Pudil; Vydra, Deeney
Subs: Bond, McGugan, Paredes, Cathcart, Fabbrini, Dyer, Ighalo
Charlton boss Bob Peeters goes with the same XI that drew with Brighton last time out.
New Watford boss Oscar Garcia makes three changes to the team that saw off Huddersfield last time out. Hoban, Andrews and Vydra come in for the suspended Tamas, Munari and Forestieri.
Ahead of kickoff, why not watch our video preview below as I predict a 2-1 Charlton Athletic win on the SM Sofa.

The latest on our readers' poll has Charlton as slight favourites with 53.1% of the vote.
PREDICTION TIME! As mentioned below, I fancy Watford to nick this and end Charlton's unbeaten start to the season - 2-1.
When these two sides last met towards the end of last season, Charlton claimed a 3-1 victory. The Addicks are in fact unbeaten in their last three matches against the Hornets.
Here come the two teams out of the tunnel. Today's referee is Andy Madley.
KICKOFF! We're underway at The Valley. Can Charlton hold on to their unbeaten record?
PENALTY TO CHARLTON!
GOAL! CHARLTON 1-0 WATFORD (BUYENS, PEN.)
What an awful start as Watford manager this is for Garcia. His side go behind inside three minutes as Buyens sends Gomes the wrong way after the former Spurs keeper had brought down Vetokele in the area. He was booked for the challenge as well.
Watford have responded well to going behind, with Deeney curling an effort wide and McGugan sending a free kick wide. The latter was brought into the starting lineup just before kickoff in place of Keith Andrews, who must have injured himself in the warm-up.
A touching moment at The Valley as the ground claps for a minute in memory of David Whyte. The former Addick passed away earlier this week.
Fair play to Bob Peeters and Charlton, you wouldn't expect a team that has Tal Ben Haim and Andre Bikey as its centre-backs to be all that competitive in the Championship. The Addicks are still unbeaten though and it looks like that run will be continuing.
After scoring for Scotland in Germany in midweek, Anya is certainly in form and almost gets in behind the Charlton defence down the right before Wiggins gets back to clear.
Wiggins's clearance gave Watford a corner, but they couldn't do anything special with the set piece.
Worrying signs here for Watford with McGugan down injured. Remember, he only came into the side right before kickoff because of Andrews's injury.
CHANCE! Abdi nicks the ball off Jackson before fizzing it into Vydra. The Czech forward leaves it and that presents Deeney with a clear shot at goal, but his effort is tame and at an easy height for Henderson to hold.
CHARLTON SUB:Gudmundsson, who was booked moments ago, comes off with an injured groin and is replaced by Lawrie Wilson.
Huge shout for a penalty from Watford and they've definitely got a case. Fabulous ball over the top from Tozser, who sent Deeney through on goal. The Watford striker appeared to get his legs tangled with Ben Haim, but Madley wasn't interested. If he had blown up for a penalty, it would have also been a red card for the former Chelsea man.
Watford have actually had more possession and more shots. Charlton's only effort on goal was the early penalty from Buyens.
SHOT! Anya with a rocket from at least 30 yards that's saved in the bottom corner by Henderson.
BOOKING! Abdi is shown a yellow card for cynically bringing down Vetokele in the middle.
BOOKING! A third Hornet in the book. Hogan is shown yellow for a brutal shove in the middle of the park.
BOOKING! And another! This time it's Ekstrand who has his name taken for halting Vetokele's run at the halfway line. The August Player of the Month is certainly proving to be a handful for the visitors' defence.
HALF-TIME: CHARLTON 1-0 WATFORD
Charlton have won every single game at home this season and, at the moment, it looks like that run will be continuing.
If you're only just joining us and want an update on the opening half, click here for our concise summary.
Here's a shot of Buyens celebrating his coolly-taken spot kick:
Amazingly, that early penalty from Charlton was the one and only shot that they had in the first half. Watford had seven, but the only stat that counts is the scoreline and Charlton lead that 1-0.
But was it a penalty? Vetokele certainly nicked the ball away from Gomes, but I'm not so sure that there was enough contact for the in-form striker to go down.
KICKOFF! Watfrod get us back underway in the second half. The Hornets have made a change at the back too, with Paredes on and Hoban off.
Bright start from the hosts and they have their second shot of the match through Vetokele, whose 20-yard fizzer was deflected over the top.
BOOKING! Wiggins becomes the sixth player to be booked after a late challenge on Anya.
It opens up for Deeney 20 yards out after some neat interchange with Vydra, but he slices well wide.
Watford win a free kick on the edge of the box. Tozser takes it and it's wickedly deflected and almost right into the path of Vydra.
CHARLTON SUB: Franck Moussa replaces Tucudean in midfield.
Deep cross from the Charlton right by Wilson, whose centre is just too high for Vetokele to make good contact.
WATFORD SUB: A change for the Hornets and an alteration to the formation as well. Striker Vydra is replaced by left-sider Lloyd Dyer.
That's now 11 shots Watford have had as McGugan fires over the top.
Remember, Charlton have only had one shot on target all game. The one that looks like it'll be getting them three points.
Make that 12 Watford shots and again it's McGugan who can't find the target.
CHANCE! Great chance for Watford to equalise at the back post as Tozser's cross finds Dyer, who just can't turn it goalwards.
DISALLOWED! Deeney slams the ball home after Dyer's cross had been deflected against the post, but the latter was offside. Close, close call.
SUBS: Both managers make their final changes, with Ighalo replacing McGugan for Watford and Harriott coming on for Jackson for Charlton.
SAVE! What a rocket from Tozser, who has arguably been man of the match in the middle for Watford. He lets fly first-time from outside the box and is denied by Henderson's smart reactions.
CHANCE! Watford are going to miss out here, you just know it. They create another great opportunity and once again it's Dyer who is guilty of missing. A really good save by Henderson, but the substitute should have probably shot earlier.
If Charlton do hold on here, they'll know that they've really got away with it. How many minutes will be added on?
There's uproar from the home fans as SIX minutes are added on.
CHANCE! Dyer crosses for Ighalo who can only head over.
FULL-TIME: CHARLTON 1-0 WATFORD
How on earth Charlton have won that game I'm not too sure. They won't care too much how they've played, it's another home win at The Valley and they're now up to fifth in the table and just a point off the top.
For Watford, meanwhile, it's a second defeat of the season. They're still above Charlton in fourth place on the same points (12).
Time for me to say goodbye, but before I go here's the link you need for all of today's other scores and the match reports too. Plenty to catch up on.
