Chelsea Women produced a clinical second-half display to sink Arsenal Women 2-0 and reach the final of the Women's FA Cup at Borehamwood.

After a relatively tame opening 45 minutes in which both sides struggled to carve out any clear-cut opportunities, Guro Reiten and Ji So-yun's second-half strikes sent Emma Hayes's side to Wembley.

Vivianne Miedema went close for Arsenal on the 20-minute mark with an effort that fizzed just over the bar, but Jonas Eidevall's side were very nearly the architects of their own downfall with several misplaced passes near the end of the first half.

Beth Mead fired just wide after the restart following a smooth turn in the box, but barely a minute after the England international's missed chance, Reiten picked out the top corner after the Gunners defence backed off and allowed her to fire home.

Manuela Zinsberger was called into action to keep out Bethany England's goal-bound effort not long after, but the Arsenal goalkeeper was powerless to stop Ji doubling Chelsea's advantage on the 61-minute mark, with the South Korean smashing home off the woodwork after some poor Arsenal defending once again.

England was close to making it three in the dying embers after a lovely first touch but watched her strike sail just over, and the only save that Ann-Katrin Berger had to make in the Chelsea goal was from Mead's offside shot right at the death.

Chelsea will now defend their crown against Manchester City at Wembley on May 15 after Gareth Taylor's side ran out 4-1 winners over West Ham United in the other semi-final.
