Fernando Torres is expected to start on the bench for Chelsea's Champions League last-16 tie at Napoli on Tuesday.
The out-of-form striker has scored just three goals for the Blues since his £50m move from Liverpool over a year ago.
Didier Drogba, who replaced Torres in Saturday's 1-1 FA Cup draw with Birmingham, is likely to start at the Stadio San Paolo, according to The Guardian.
Manager Andre Villas-Boas recently claimed that a European run could turn around his side's ailing domestic form.
