Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed that midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko will not feature against Barcelona in the Champions League next week.
Since signing from Monaco, Bakayoko has failed to justify his £40m price-tag, but the 23-year-old has still been given 28 starts and seven substitute outings in all competitions.
Conte has suggested that the French international will play no part of the first leg of the last-16 tie at Stamford Bridge, although there was better news regarding Marcos Alonso.
On Friday night, the 48-year-old told reporters: "Alonso will be fit. I don't think Bakayoko is available for the game against Barcelona. Alonso is ready to play."
Both players played no part in Chelsea's 4-0 win over Hull City in the FA Cup, with Conte handing opportunities to three of the club's youngsters - Ethan Ampadu, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Kyle Scott - in the victory in West London.
