Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has heaped praise on his side following their 6-0 rout of Qarabag FK in their Champions League Group C opener this evening.
The Premier League champions ran riot over their Azerbaijani opponents at Stamford Bridge, marking their return to European football's top-tier club competition in style following a year's absence.
Conte handed rare starts to the likes of Andreas Christensen, Davide Zappacosta and Michy Batshuayi for the match, the latter two of whom were among the scorers on the night.
"It was a good result. We started the Champions League in the right way. I saw great commitment, focus and concentration right from the start. It was a great performance from the players," Conte told BT Sport.
"A lot of positive things from us. Davide Zappacosta played very well and Eden Hazard is trying to find his best form.
"It's very important to give players the opportunity like Andreas Christiansen. They must understand I trust them. I have 17-18 senior players. Every single player can have a chance to play."
Chelsea have now won their last four matches across all competitions to bounce back from defeat on the opening day of the season.
