Jose Mourinho has said that Chelsea's players "deserve" to be in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The Premier League leaders won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge this evening to beat Galatasaray 3-1 on aggregate, sealing their place in the last eight.
The manager told BBC Sport: "Last season the Europa league was a different level but to come from there to the Champions League quarter-final is important for the players and the club.
"We are a Champions League club, we are amongst the last eight, the best teams in the world, with all the big clubs. The players deserve to be there."
Samuel Eto'o and Gary Cahill scored the goals for the home side this evening.
