Chelsea have opened their Champions League campaign with a 2-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge.
While Simon Rolfes and Fernando Torres managed to net for Leverkusen and Chelsea respectively within the first few minutes, both attempts were disallowed and the first half ended goalless.
Scoring finally opened when David Luiz attacked the bottom right of the net after a set-up from Torres in the 67th minute. Juan Mata went on to double the lead in the second minute of injury time after another Torres assist.
The Blues will travel to Valencia for their next match on Wednesday, September 28.
