Gary Cahill has said that he will "never ever forget" captaining England.
The Chelsea defender wore the armband in the absence of Wayne Rooney during the 2-0 victory over Estonia on Friday.
"It was an amazing feeling for me and my family and a moment I'll never ever forget," Cahill told reporters.
"Once I knew I was captain, I wanted to make it work and to lead them to a positive result, and thankfully it went that way.
"I thought I played well, and the team played well. The most important thing was that we won, so it was a good night."
Cahill missed England's 3-0 win over Lithuania due to injury but should be fit for Chelsea's Premier League match against Aston Villa on Saturday.
