Diego Costa has withdrawn from Spain's squad for their Euro 2016 qualifier match against Macedonia next week with a hamstring injury.
The Chelsea striker limped out of the team's 1-0 defeat to France last night, having struggled with a hamstring problem since the World Cup.
A statement from the Spanish Football Federation said: "Diego Costa is not available for selection because of an injury to the hamstring muscle in his left thigh. All imaging tests will be sent to Chelsea."
Costa is the top scorer in the Premier League so far this season, scoring four goals from the opening three matches of the campaign.
