Manchester City will endeavour to claim their second win over Chelsea in the space of a few days when the two sides meet at the Etihad for Sunday's FA Cup third-round showdown.

The Premier League champions boosted their bid for a third successive title by beating the determined Blues 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Thursday courtesy of a Riyad Mahrez winner.

Man City now set out on their quest to win a seventh FA Cup title, having reached the semi-finals on three consecutive occasions since last going all the way in the 2018-19 campaign.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Chelsea, who fell to Liverpool in the final on penalties last season.

Ruben Dias

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Ruben Dias continues to nurse the hamstring injury that he sustained on World Cup duty with Portugal, and the centre-back is expected to remain out of action for at least another couple of weeks.

Aymeric Laporte

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Back
Possible return date: January 8 (vs. Chelsea)

Aymeric Laporte has missed Man City's last two clashes with Everton and Chelsea due to a minor back injury, but the Spain international could be in with a chance of returning here.
