Everton midfielder Gareth Barry has insisted that he was not bitten by Chelsea striker Diego Costa during yesterday's FA Cup tie at Goodison Park.
The pair clashed towards the end of the tie as Costa buried his head into Barry's neck.
Some of the video footage suggested that the Spaniard had sunk his teeth in, but the Everton man has now moved to clarify the situation.
"Seen a lot of talk about the incident involving me and Diego Costa in the game last night. For the record he did not bite me," the 35-year-old wrote on Fanzai.
Costa was sent off for his part in the incident, while Barry was later red-carded for a foul on Cesc Fabregas.
The game ended 2-0 to the hosts thanks to a late brace from ex-Chelsea frontman Romelu Lukaku.
