Chelsea's interim manager Rafael Benitez has reportedly given thought to leaving out David Luiz for this Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.
The Brazilian defender, who has become a mainstay in the Chelsea backline since Benitez took charge, is just one booking away from receiving a two-match suspension.
However, following this weekend's matches, the punishment for reaching 10 yellow cards will expire, which would mean that the 25-year-old is no longer a risk.
With that in mind, Benitez may opt to leave out Luiz to avoid losing him for two encounters, according to the London Evening Standard.
If Luiz were to miss out, John Terry would be likely to deputise.
