Mykhaylo Mudryk has been recalled to the Chelsea XI for the FA Cup quarter-final with Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

The Ukraine international came off the substitutes' bench to score during the 3-2 victory over Newcastle United on Monday evening and is rewarded for his contribution in that fixture.

That alteration is one of two made by Mauricio Pochettino, with Mudryk chosen as the replacement for the suspended Enzo Fernandez.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has been handed an opportunity between the sticks with Djordje Petrovic dropping out of the side.

Chelsea have received a welcome double boost among the replacements, with Benoit Badiashile and Ben Chilwell both able to return from groin and knee issues respectively.

As for Leicester, head coach Enzo Maresca has made a total of four changes from the team that earned a 2-2 draw at Hull City in the Championship.

There is a change in goal with Jakub Stolarczyk taking the spot of Mads Hermansen, while Callum Doyle comes back into the team at left-back in place of James Justin.

Wilfred Ndidi makes his first start of 2024 in central midfield, taking the place of Yunus Akgun, while Patson Daka is chosen as the replacement for the injured Jamie Vardy.

Chelsea: Sanchez; Gusto, Disasi, Chalobah, Cucurella; Caicedo, Gallagher; Palmer, Mudryk, Sterling; Jackson

Subs: Petrovic, Badiashile, Silva, Acheampong, Chilwell, Harrison, Chukwuemeka, Madueke, Washington

Leicester City: Stolarczyk; Choudhury, Faes, Vestergaard, Doyle; Ndidi, Dewsbury-Hall, Winks; Fatawu, Mavididi, Daka

Subs: Ward, Coady, Nelson, Justin, Yunus, Albrighton, Marcal, Iheanacho, Cannon
