Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku's record vs. West Ham United

Romelu Lukaku has endured a frustrating period at Chelsea, following a long streak without finding the back of the net with a spell on the sidelines through injury.

However, the summer signing has now shaken off an ankle problem, making two substitute appearances in succession ahead of Saturday's Premier League meeting at West Ham United.

While Thomas Tuchel has refused to reveal whether the 28-year-old will start at the London Stadium, the German said that he would be making several changes to his starting lineup.

Ahead of the Blues making the short trip across the capital, Sports Mole takes a look at how the Belgian has fared in his previous meetings against the Hammers.

Having enjoyed spells at West Bromwich Albion, Everton and Manchester United, Lukaku is no stranger to facing West Ham, particularly in the Premier League.

The frontman has played as many as 13 times, contributing to seven wins and three draws, but it is goalscoring record against these opponents which really catches the eye.

Lukaku has contributed goals in eight separate top-flight matches, scoring in seven successive games between September 21, 2013 and October 30, 2016.

When adding the double that he scored on his Old Trafford debut for Man United in 2018-19, it takes Lukaku to nine goals, a total complemented by four assists.

Against no side has Lukaku scored more Premier League goals than he has against West Ham, with nine strikes also coming against Southampton.

He could also become the seventh player to net double figures against the Hammers in the Premier League, which would be the most opposing players to score 10+ against a side in the competition. body check tags ::
