Tottenham Hotspur's squad is set to be tested to the very limit in the coming week as they face a brutal schedule of three games in just five days.
The second of those is a traditionally full-blooded derby too as Jose Mourinho welcomes former club Chelsea to North London in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.
Spurs will need to pick themselves up from a bitterly disappointing and controversial home draw with Newcastle United on Sunday as they look to move another step closer to ending their trophy drought.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.
Son Heung-min
Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown
Mourinho's well-voiced fears over the hectic schedule appear to be coming to fruition after Son Heung-min was forced off at half time against Newcastle on Sunday. Mourinho has since confirmed that he expects the in-form attacker to be "out for a while" with a hamstring injury, and warned that Son will not be the last injury they suffer in the coming week or so.
Moussa Sissoko
Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: September 29 (vs. Chelsea)
Moussa Sissoko was initially named on the bench against his former club Newcastle on Sunday before being forced to withdraw 30 minutes before kickoff due to illness. Under normal circumstances he may be likely to recover before the next game, but with such a quick turnaround that appears in more doubt now.
Gareth Bale
Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 17 (vs. West Ham United)
Gareth Bale's much-anticipated second Spurs debut will be forced to wait until after next month's international break, after he arrived at the club carrying a knee injury.
Japhet Tanganga
Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown
Japhet Tanganga is expected to be sidelined for a few more weeks yet as he continues to recover from a thigh problem.
